Makana Municipality blamed for failure to deliver services, Ostrich industry gets off scot-free

Recently, some very poor people in Grahamstown were found cutting up pieces of meat from a dead ostrich carcass which lay in the local Makana Municipality dump. The dead ostrich, had according to Gerrie Botha the general manager of the Grahamstown Ostrich Export Abatttoir died on its way to the slaughter house.
